Terms and Conditions
Fremantle Treasure Hunt 2026
1. Promoter
The Fremantle Treasure Hunt promotion ("Promotion") is conducted by Fictional Reality ("the Promoter").
2. Promotion Overview
The Fremantle Treasure Hunt is a recreational puzzle activity conducted in Fremantle, Western Australia.
Participants who complete the treasure hunt and submit their contact details through the official entry form will receive one entry into a random prize draw to win a treasure chest containing $1000 AUD (in the form of 1000 x $1 coins).
Participation in the Promotion constitutes acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.
3. Eligibility
Entry into the prize draw is open to individuals who:

Are 18 years of age or older, or have permission from a parent or legal guardian.

Complete the treasure hunt activity.

Submit their contact details through the official entry form made available upon completing the treasure hunt activity, during the Promotion period.
Employees of the Promoter, persons directly involved in the administration of the Promotion, and their immediate family members may participate in the treasure hunt but are not eligible to win the prize draw.
4. Promotion Period
The Promotion opens on 18/04/26 - 9am and closes on 18/05/26 - 5pm.
Entries received outside this period will not be eligible for the prize draw.
5. How to Participate
Participants may take part in the treasure hunt using either of the following methods:

Download the free digital map provided by the Promoter; or

Purchase a printed map from participating locations.
The printed map is provided for convenience only.
No purchase is necessary to participate in the treasure hunt or to enter the prize draw.
Participants who complete the treasure hunt and submit their contact details through the official entry form will receive one entry into the prize draw.
Only one entry per person will be accepted unless otherwise stated.
6. Prize
The prize consists of:

One treasure chest containing 1000 x $1 coins (total value $1000 AUD).
The prize:

Is not transferable
-
Cannot be exchanged for alternative prizes.
7. Prize Draw
The winner will be determined via a random draw from all eligible entries received during the Promotion period.
The draw will take place on 18th of May 2026 @ 5:30pm.
The winner will be notified using the contact details provided within 7 days of the draw.
If the winner does not respond within 7 days of notification, the Promoter reserves the right to conduct a redraw to determine a new winner.
The winner may be required to provide valid government-issued identification to verify their identity at the time of prize collection. If the Promoter reasonably believes that the winner has breached these Terms and Conditions, including by submitting multiple entries, the Promoter reserves the right to disqualify the winner and conduct a redraw.
The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify entries that are incomplete, illegible, fraudulent, or submitted in breach of these Terms and Conditions.
8. Prize Presentation
The treasure chest prize is not hidden or placed in a public location during the Promotion period.
The treasure hunt activity does not involve physically finding the prize.
The prize will be presented to the winner at a mutually agreed time and location arranged with the Promoter after the prize draw has been completed.
9. Participant Safety and Conduct
The treasure hunt takes place in public spaces within Fremantle.
Participants agree to:

Follow all local laws and regulations

Respect and do not enter private property

Avoid entering restricted, unsafe, or prohibited areas
-
Refrain from damaging, interfering with, or removing any public or private property
Participants take part in the treasure hunt at their own risk.
To the extent permitted by law, the Promoter accepts no responsibility for injury, loss, or damage sustained while participating in the activity.
9.1 Emergency Contact
Emergency Response
In the event of an accident, injury, medical emergency, or other urgent safety incident, participants must call 000 immediately and follow the directions of emergency services or other lawful authorities. 10. Game Integrity
Participants must not remove, damage, alter, tamper with, or interfere with any game materials, clues, maps, or locations associated with the treasure hunt.
The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify any participant who attempts to interfere with the proper conduct of the game.
11. Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Promoter will not be liable for:

Loss, damage, or injury suffered by participants

Technical issues affecting entry submissions

Lost, late, or misdirected entries
-
Events outside the Promoter's reasonable control
Nothing in these Terms excludes rights under Australian Consumer Law.
12. Promotional Media
The winner may be invited to participate in photography, filming, or interviews related to the Promotion.
Participation in such promotional activity is voluntary and does not affect the winner’s entitlement to receive the prize.
If the winner agrees to participate, they grant the Promoter permission to use their image, likeness, first name, and general location for promotional purposes without additional compensation.
13. Privacy
Participants' personal information will be collected for the purposes of:

Administering the Promotion

Contacting the prize winner

Communicating future events or experiences offered by the Promoter (unless participants opt out)
Participants may request access to or removal of their personal information by contacting the Promoter.
14. Intellectual Property
All puzzles, maps, clues, artwork, and related materials associated with the treasure hunt remain the intellectual property of the Promoter.
Participants may not reproduce, distribute, or commercially exploit these materials without permission.
15. Promotion Changes
The Promoter reserves the right to modify, suspend, or cancel the Promotion if circumstances arise beyond the Promoter’s reasonable control.
16. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of Western Australia, Australia.
17. Acceptance of Terms
Participation in the Fremantle Treasure Hunt and submission of an entry constitutes acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.
