What is a Treasure Hunt?
explore, engage, retain
Whether its to engage the community in cultural history, bring families into spaces for festival events, or just give people a reason to visit during off-peak times our treasure hunt activations can cater to any outcome.
Contact us once you have an event date or location in mind. We’ll check availability and discuss the time needed for development, approvals and preparation before confirming a delivery schedule.
What can we learn from participation data?
The platform records family play sessions, checkpoint interactions and completions, with timestamps showing when scans occur.
These records help you understand how participating families progress through the experience and which checkpoints they reach.
What does our team need to provide?
We agree on responsibilities before the project begins. Planning covers site access, permissions, installation, participant materials, promotion and any on-site support, so your team knows what it needs to organise.
What is a Fictional Reality Activation?
story-led adventure that invites families to explore a real place together. Participants follow clues, solve challenges and uncover a story as they move through your event or location, using a printed map and their smartphone.
What kinds of events and locations does it suit?
Council events, festivals, community celebrations and venues where you want to give families a reason to explore. We work with you to assess how the experience could fit your location, audience and event objectives.
How do families take part?
Families join during the activation’s operating hours and play at their own pace. Using a printed map and a smartphone, they follow the story through checkpoints around the space. The experience is self-guided, so families don’t need to join a scheduled group session.
Can the experience reflect our event or location?
We can discuss how the story, route and challenges could connect with your place, event theme and audience. The level of customisation is agreed as part of the project brief.
